Welcome to Montessori Academy

It is our pleasure to welcome you to our school. Whether you are interested in our Lower School that serves students from Infants through Kindergarten, or in our Upper School which caters to students from first through eighth grade, you will feel the family atmosphere that characterizes our institution. We are proud to offer an excellent academic curriculum based on the education philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. In our classrooms, children work at their own pace, enjoying freedom of movement and choice. The Mission of Montessori Academy

Our mission is to prepare students to be life-long learners and responsible citizens of the world community. Through the use of Montessori methods and philosophy, an individualized approach in multi-age groupings encourages developmentally appropriate learning of academics, social development and life skills. All children are given the freedom – in a structured environment that is nurturing, child-centered and supportive – to develop their gifts and pursue their interests while also learning the incumbent responsibilities.

Licensure and Accreditations

Montessori Academy is fully licensed by the Department of Children and Families of Broward County, and the Early Learning Coalition of Broward County.

American Montessori Society

Montessori Academy also holds Full Affiliation status with the American Montessori Society. Our lead teachers are Montessori trained and certified, and maintain professional memberships with the American Montessori Society.

Our Campus

Montessori Academy of Broward is located in South Broward; a sustainable building in 4.5 acre property using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient. We continue to reduce our carbon footprint and we are working on implementing Solar Power and a Hydroponics garden, making our building more green and efficient.
