Where confidence grows
What's happening
At Montessori Academy of Broward, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Every student has the right to feel safe, respected, and protected, and we are committed to upholding that right for each child, regardless of race, religion, ability, gender, or culture. Our approach combines clear, robust systems with an inclusive school culture, so families can feel confident that their children are learning in a secure environment.
We aim to create a safe, thriving community by maintaining strong safety procedures, raising staff awareness and training on safeguarding, and following clear protocols for any child protection concerns.

As one of the best private schools in Pembroke Pines, students are kept safe through our safeguarding policy, available for download, which explains exactly how we protect every child in our care.
It clearly defines key safeguarding terms, sets out the responsibilities of all staff, and details the systems and procedures we follow to maintain a proactive, consistent approach to student safety and welfare across our school community.
Background checks
All staff complete Level 2 background checks before they begin working with students, so families know children are surrounded by carefully vetted, trusted adults.
Safeguarding training
Our team receives annual safeguarding training, so they remain alert, informed, and ready to respond to any concern.
Medical training
Key staff are certified in CPR, AED use, and EpiPen administration, ensuring a quick, confident response if a child needs urgent care.
Emergency drills
We run monthly safety drills, so students and staff know what to do and can act calmly in an emergency.
Secured campus access
All visitors check in through our RAPTOR security system, which helps us verify identities and closely monitor who is on campus.
Monitored access
An armed guard is present on campus to provide an extra level of security, helping to keep our community safe and well protected.
Character development
Through Character Education, students learn to be kind, respectful, and responsible, making safe, thoughtful choices and contributing to a caring school community.
